It’s not very often that I get impressed by a device, but the AST Bubble Bead filter is one of those devices. Installation was simple and quick, and it works exactly as expected it to from the start. Flushing solids from the aquaponic system is now a simple two minute job requiring only turning of one valve. The drained water, approximately 6 gallons, can be used for watering other gardens and plants. Biofiltration of the system has been dramatically increased. You can find many videos on YouTube showing details of how it works. What a great idea, so much better than my old radial flow filter.
