The Problem:

Shasta Lake’s stormwater runoff polluted downstream retention basins with wood and pulp particulate. Particulates released COD into the retention basins.

The Solution:

AST implemented a High Profle PolyGeyser® (HPPG) to capture wood particulates before they could break down.

The Results:

The reduction of downstream TSS reduced the COD effects in the retention pond, this allowed for the facility to be brought back into compliance.
