The Problem:
Shasta Lake’s stormwater runoff polluted downstream retention basins with wood and pulp particulate. Particulates released COD into the retention basins.

The reduction of downstream TSS reduced the COD effects in the retention pond, this allowed for the facility to be brought back into compliance.
