If the filter is not level, the air charge chamber may \u201cshort-circuit\u201d, allowing air to escape from the charge chamber before a complete charge has been established, thus air will continuously burp up through the drop chute. If this occurs the trigger will not fire and the filter will not backwash. To correct this issue, simply level the filter.<\/p>\n<p>The PolyGeyser<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> can be installed above or under the water level of the pond. The return to the pond also can be above or under water level. When the return will be installed under water level, air will enter the pond during the backwash procedure. When this air is not appreciated, you can install a T-piece with \u201cstandpipe\u201d above the water level in the return pipe. The air will escape through this pipe during backwash. The standpipe can be situated before the pond or in the pond. (DF6:\u00a02 x reduction sockets 90\/110-63).<\/p>\n<p>Be sure the PVC parts are cleaned well before using glue.<\/p>\n<p>Use 63mm PVC pipe and long bends 63mm (optional) instead of\u00a0short bends (more head pressure).<\/p>\n<p>Connect the pressure side of the pump with the reducing socket ofthe check valve. Be sure that the check valve is positioned well\u00a0(white flap has to be on the lower side, as on the picture) to\u00a0prevent the beads from going back into the pump.<\/p>\n<p>When it is not possible to install the check valve vertically,\u00a0you can\u00a0mount it horizontally. Be sure to position the valve exactly\u00a0straight when mounting horizontally.<\/p>\n<p>The black flexible connectors are used for connecting the pump\u00a0and the return pipe. The DF6 comes with a reducer from 2\u201d to\u00a063mm where the slidevalve fits in (outer diameter of\u00a0the slidevalve is 63mm).<\/p>\n<p>Be sure the PVC parts are cleaned well before using\u00a0glue.<\/p>\n<p>DF3: Attach the reducer socket to the piece of pipe\u00a0that comes out the PolyGeyser. Connect the piece of\u00a0pipe in the reducer socket. Connect the slide valve\u00a0with the pipe.<\/p>\n<p>From the slide valve you can make any further pipe connections.[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.23.1&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; column_structure=&#8221;2_3,1_3&#8243; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;][et_pb_column _builder_version=&#8221;4.23.1&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; type=&#8221;2_3&#8243; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.23.1&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h2>Connecting the Flowmeter<\/h2>\n<p>The PolyGeyser<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> comes standard with:<br \/>\n1 x flowmeter, 1 x mounting bracket for flowmeter,\u00a05 meter airhose 4 x 6mm, 1 x non return valve 4mm.<\/p>\n<p>Mount the flowmeter in the bracket. Unscrew one of the screws of the\u00a0PolyGeyser<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>. Put the bracket over the threaded part and return the screw.\u00a0\u00a0With the supplied air hose, you can connect the air pump to the\u00a0lower inlet of the flowmeter. The air hose can be put into the flowmeter until\u00a0it can get no further. To release the air hose, push the blue ring and pull out\u00a0the air hose. Use a short piece of hose from the upper connection of the\u00a0flowmeter to the black end part of the non-return valve. Use another piece\u00a0of air hose to connect the other end of the non return valve to the inlet of the\u00a0PolyGeyser<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>. Please check that all connections are tight.<\/p>\n<p>The flowmeter has a range of 0.2 \u2013 2 liter per minute. The amount of air\u00a0blown into the filter determines the backwash frequency. The optimum\u00a0frequency of backwash intervals varies with feed loading.
